Kick-off-Session:
The State of AI Adoption – and the Effects on Security
Live webinar: 24 September | 11 a.m. CEST | 30 min.
for all partner types and functions
Recent studies show enterprise AI is now used by more than three-quarters of organisations, with employee-level AI often outpacing IT controls. This comes at a cost: IBM’s 2025 Cost of a Data Breach Report found breaches involving unmanaged shadow AI average $4.63 million - around $670,000 more than other breaches. Yet only 37% of organisations have AI governance policies in place.
This opening session explores this new reality and sets the stage for the next three blocks: understand the risks, act safely, and stay in control.
Module 1: Understanding the Risks
AI is already inside most organisations, often without IT's knowledge – and that creates a real problem for customers: unsanctioned tool use, data exposure, and ungoverned AI agents become blind spots nobody notices until something goes wrong. Spotting them starts with knowing exactly which question to ask.

1.1 Shadow AI
My customer just found out their employees have been using AI tools for months without IT knowing.
|
1.2 Data Risks
My customer asks: where does our data actually go when we use AI tools?
|
1.3 AI Agents
My customer says nobody knows anymore who – or what – has access to their systems. |
Module 2: Building AI You Can Trust
Once a customer recognises the risk, the real question is what to do differently – and that answer changes depending on whether they're buying, building, or deploying AI. This block covers all three phases, so the right security question gets raised at the right moment, not too early or too late.

Biz | What AI Security Actually Delivers |
Every vendor claims to be AI-native – this session uses analyst criteria to separate real AI security capability from marketing language. |

Tech | Securing the AI Lifecycle |
This session follows the procure-build-deploy phases from the consultant's seat: vetting AI suppliers, testing applications and containers pre-release, and protecting live AI against threats like prompt injection. |

2.1 Procure it safely
My customer wants to know if the AI tools they are buying can be trusted.
|
2.2 Build it safely
My customer’s developers are building an AI application and don’t know where to start with security
|
2.3 Deploy it safely
My customer asks: now that our AI application is live, what do we need to watch for? |
Module 3: Governing AI
Even a well-secured AI system raises a harder question: who's accountable when it makes a decision that affects a customer or employee? This block moves that question beyond IT – into compliance, leadership, and the cultural commitment governance actually requires.

Biz | Where the AI Security Market Is Heading Next |
Analysts point to platform consolidation as the defining shift in AI security, with real consequences for customers' next investment. This closing session ties together all three blocks and shows how to refer qualified conversations to the TrendAI™ team. |

|
Tech | Governance You Can Evidence |
This session backs boardroom governance conversation with evidence – the reporting, audit trails, and compliance mapping (including a candid look at the EU AI Act) that make governance demonstrable. It connects that technical picture to the referral hand-off for the TrendAI™ team. |

3.1 Accountability
My customer asks when our AI makes the wrong decision, who is responsible?
|
3.2 Compliance
My customer says compliance feels impossible to keep up with - new tools, new regulations, new risks, all moving at once.
|
3.3 The Human Layer of Governance
My customer has AI policies on paper but leadership isn’t investing in them, and employees aren’t living them |
